Mufti Menk Quotes

Just because you’ve been having one disappointment after another, doesn’t mean things won’t get better. Trust the Almighty. The beauty of letting Him take over is that He knows us better than we know ourselves. Believe that whatever it is will arrive in His perfect timing!

‬Doubt and disbelief - Satan’s handiwork! Don’t fall prey to any of that. Keep a lid on his whispering that will always come back to you. That is his forte. He will never give up. That’s why you need to bolt the door and focus on your journey ahead. Don’t let him trick you.

Stop playing the blame game. Some just blame others for all their problems. They’re never responsible, accountable or want to take ownership of their problems. It’s always someone else’s fault. This is a dangerous way to live. Change your mindset if you want to fix your life.

Almighty. Forgive us for all the times when we were facing problems & were so quick to become discouraged or depressed; thinking there was no way out.  We forget how You’ve never let us down. No matter what comes our way, we’ll put our trust in You. We know You’ll see us through!

We live in an instant society. What you want, you get almost immediately. Instant gratification is key. We are wired that way. But real life’s not like that. Our tests require patience. Success doesn’t happen overnight. Appreciate the journey. The beauty is in the struggle.‬

Everyone's doing it. You're young, have some fun" - the familiar whisperings of Satan. Protect yourself from his tricks. Don’t go down that road. Don’t give in. Stay firm. Keep a level head and exercise self-restraint. Seek your strength from the Almighty.

Don’t be ashamed of the scars you get in life. They are proof of your inner strength. It shows you've lived your life fully; how you picked yourself up when you fell, how you refused to give up, handled defeat & storms. How you rose above it all. That's what matters in the end! ‬

Don’t argue for the sake of arguing. Some just need to find flaws in everything or disagree just to be disagreeable. The Almighty dislikes such acts. You don’t always need to have the last say & be the smartest person in the room. Choose your battles & have a sense of proportion.‬

Some can’t stop living in the past. They keep replaying the same scenario over & over again, how much they suffered, how they were mistreated etc. Such things only poison your mind, make it hard for you to move on & fill you with negativity. Break free from the past! Move on!

If there’s something we all share, it is death.  Everyone will face it. There’s no escaping. So why do we live life as if it’s forever and we take death so lightly. We forget that it can overtake us anytime, anywhere. Life is short. Remember no one is promised tomorrow.

Don’t worry about being popular and loved by the masses. If you choose to get closer to the Almighty and live a life according to His Plan, you’ll find yourself walking alone mostly. It may seem daunting and frightening at times. But don’t worry. He’s your Guide & Protector!

People will disappoint you. There’ll be times when they won’t meet your expectations. This can happen quite often. Instead of feeling let down, understand the Almighty’s plan in all this. He’s showing you that you can’t depend on others. Lay your full trust and hopes in Him! ‬

He knows your pain, struggles, fears & anxieties. He knows they’re keeping you awake at night. He knows you’re trying your best to cope. He tests those whom He loves. And that He won’t burden you more than you can bear. Keep going just a little more. Trust that His help is near!‬

Choose healing over hurting. Keep trying instead of giving up. Be kind instead of being mean & harsh. Learn to forgive instead of harbouring grudges. Do this consciously & you’ll find your heart lighter & more at ease. Build one another up rather than tear one another down!

Take control of your life. Don’t be like the candle in the wind, always vulnerable. Don’t let your life spin out of control. If you feel like you’re heading in the wrong direction, quickly turn back. Don’t let Satan take the wheel. Seek your strength from the Almighty.

The best thing you can do for yourself is to treat people better than how they treated you. Be kind to the unkind. Be the first to forgive. Lift the person who tried to push you down. Utter good words to your haters. Smile for no apparent reason just because you are grateful! ‬

If you are feeling low, despondent & unappreciated, know that it’s the work of Satan. He’s an expert at planting such thoughts in you. He wants you to go into sin for a temporary high. You should know his tricks by now. Counter such thoughts. Seek your strength from the Almighty.

Becoming involved in social media drama can drain your energy. If you’re often browsing, looking at what seems to be people’s perfect lives, you may develop envy and jealousy. This may cause unhappiness, leading to lower self esteem. It will all take its toll on your health!
